Butterfly Symmetry

Butterfly Symmetry

With a sibling or family member…

Cut out two identical butterfly shapes from pieces of paper, one each.  Search in the garden, or when you are on your daily walk, to find things to stick on one half of the butterfly, e.g. a leaf, little stones, sticks, grass, etc.  When you have filled one half, swap butterflies and try to match the butterfly wings - making sure they are symmetrical.  If you don’t have access to a garden or outdoor space, you could use craft things in your home; pencils, pens, collage pieces, etc.
