Virtual School Games
This year the School Games has had to be cancelled, so instead St Albans District is running a virtual School Games for everyone to take part in, virtually! A new event challenge will be available every Monday morning with a date by which the results need to be returned to me. I will then choose the top 8 children and if we do well enough we will go through to the county final.
The first challenge is the Virtual Pentathlon. Complete the activities below and let me have your results by Thursday 18th June via the year 4 email.

Hi,
I have found another site that has been recommended with loads of fun activities you can do at home to keep children active in bursts. It's called Imoves and it's free to parents, you just need to set up a new account and log in.
Just to let you know the Behappy has just been updated with some new activities and links to Mental Well Being.

Just found these 60 second physical activity challenges by the Youth Sports Trust which look fun. Something you can do to challenge yourself, or challenge your family. Let me know how you get on and we might see how we do against each other or in house groups. So don't forget to let me know your names and house group.
Enjoy

Just added another link - Coach Ai at Home - a virtual exercise companion. One for the adults where children can join in. I hope you enjoy it!
I've just checked out ThisPE again and there are now 10 different fun sessions you can try out in the garden or indoors and today at 1.00 they will be adding another. It's a great way to get ideas for getting exercise in short bursts.
Have fun and keep fit

Keeping Active At Home
Hi,
I hope you are all getting out either in your garden or in the local area. Perhaps you are lucky enough to take your bike or scooter with mum and dad for a ride. The most important thing is that you are keeping up with some regular exercise as this is important not only for your physical health but also your mental health. In the last couple of weeks we have been really lucky with the lovely weather.
I think quite a few of you might have been working out with Joe Wicks in the mornings. He does some great routines so try to keep it up and if you haven't seen it yet have a look on Youtube, it's everyday at 9.00am
To help with some ideas and give you some challenges I have attached a couple of links for activities for inside and out. Have a go they look fun.
Be HAPPY
Herts School Games Organisers and Herts Sports Partnership have put together some resources which includes Skils. Outdoor, Movement and more. These will be regularly updated.
ThisPE
AfPE and Yorkshire Sports Foundation, endorsed by DfE have put together short 2 minute vidoes for easy to follow PE activities for the whole family to follow. Videos or posted at 1pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
Have fun and let us know what activities you are doing.
