Well, it’s certainly no understatement to say that 2020 has been a year like no other and we felt we wanted to send one final letter to you before the Summer holidays.
Firstly, all of us (TAs and teachers) would like to thank you for your generous gifts, and for the kind comments about the reports and your child's time at school in general. We will reflect upon and consider your constructive feedback for future classes.
Our Year 3 email has now been closed so if you would like to contact us you can do that through the normal channels through firstname.lastname@example.org and these will be forwarded to us when the office staff are in.
Arrangements for September have not yet been finalised but children should expect to wash their hands more often, to use hand gel and their own tissues, to sit on tables facing forward with one other pupil and possibly to eat their lunches in their classrooms. You will still be able to see your friends if they are in different classes at playtime and lunchtimes, and also during maths, if they are in your maths class.
Your new Year 4 teachers are looking forward to meeting you properly on the first day and will have activities planned for the first few weeks to ensure you feel comfortable with all the children you are less familiar with in your new classes.
We will of course have our new Year 3 classes to look after but would love it if you give us a wave or say hello as you go past to Year 4. If you ever want a chat or are worried about anything then we will make time to talk to you, as will your old TAs.
Some of you may not have the same feeling about the Summer holidays as you normally would but we hope that you can spend some relaxing family times together without the stresses of work and online learning to contend with.
Thank you for your patience and support over these difficult times,
Miss Taylor, Mrs O’Malley and Mrs Dench
Home Learning Ideas
On the page link below, 'Home Learning Ideas', you will find numerous websites that will support you all, as you continue to complete your 'distance learning'. There are many resources that are being made available, many of them for free, from various sources. There is a lot on there, so spend some time going through it and finding things that are relevant/may be of use.
Send work examples or ask questions here... Please don't expect an immediate response as we are on a rota system to reduce social contact.
