Welcome to Year 3
Here is week 2's revision and reminder work for Year 3. They are just suggestions and ideas, please use them if they suit what is happening in your family. Don't worry if your child does not engage with these activities but please keep up with reading, free writing, practical hands-on Maths, e.g. cooking, fine motor skills work, e.g. lego and some physical exercise.
If you are having some tough conversations with your child you may find the book, Something Bad Happened: A Kid's Guide to Coping with Events in the News helpful. It is designed to be shared together and may offer comfort, support and next steps for children learning about tough world events.
We have also included the Coping Calendar which gives little ways of keeping calm and being kind to each other.
AD ART in our general activities is a YouTube cartooning tutorial created by BHJS Dad, Adam King. Hopefully it will give you time to have a cup of tea or time to do your own work.
Year 3 Teachers
P.S. Sorry for sending the recorders home!
Dear Year 3 children,
We hope you are enjoying more time with your siblings and parents and keeping well and happy. We thought you might like to know what we have been up to since last seeing you. First of all we are taking turns to go in to school to look after some BHJS children, but not very many. At home Mrs Dench has been juggling playing battleships, at the same time as pretending to be in a jungle and also helping her daughter do her home learning. Mrs O'Malley has been enjoying her garden, reading her kindle and has taken up knitting. Miss Taylor has been enjoying going on her exercise bike, taking long walks and trying to stop her own children from squabbling!
We miss seeing you and look forward to seeing you all back at school when this finishes,
